Call Center Officer – Debt Collection

About the role

Finley International Limited is seeking a proactive Call Center Officer to manage debt collection activities. You will interact with customers to recover outstanding balances while maintaining professionalism and data confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Record, verify and validate customer details received from clients.
• Advise customers on repayment options and explain consequences of non‑payment.
• Mediating disputes between customers and principals/clients.
• Locate and notify defaulted customers via mail, telephone or scheduled visits.
• Discuss overdue payments with customers to determine causes and negotiate suitable credit terms.
• Initiate clearance processes after receiving payment proof and ensure proper documentation.
• Provide accurate account information such as balances and account numbers.
• Maintain data integrity and keep customer details confidential.
• Attend scheduled and unscheduled customer meetings.
• Record financial status and collection efforts in the company system.
• Respond to all correspondence (email, telephone, postal mail).
• Organise and implement appropriate debt recovery methods and techniques.
• Negotiate credit extensions when required.
• Prepare reports as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma in any field from a recognised institution.
• 1‑2 years experience in collection, credit, sales or marketing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Computer literacy.
