Claims Officer – Insurance Claims Management

About the role

The Claims Officer will manage the end‑to‑end insurance claims process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with company policies. You will act as the main liaison between policyholders, brokers, service providers and internal teams to achieve timely resolutions and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Register new claims and acknowledge claim intimation.
• Request and follow up on required documents from brokers and service providers.
• Issue instructions to service providers after decisions are made.
• Prepare monthly and statistical reports on claims activity.
• Guide policyholders through the claim filing process.
• Prepare claim notes, discharge vouchers and accompanying correspondence.
• Coordinate payments by filing documents with the Accounts department and monitoring cheque issuance.
• Attend on‑site assessments, investigations or surveys as directed.
• Review claim files for completeness and reserve adequacy.
• Contribute to risk improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration or Accounting, or a Diploma in Insurance.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in claims management.
