About the role
Community Oral Health Officers provide high-quality dental care within Equity Afia’s network of franchised outpatient centres. The role involves diagnosing and treating oral health conditions, delivering preventive services, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene.
Key responsibilities
- Examine patients, diagnose and treat a range of oral health issues.
- Provide preventive dental services such as cleanings, sealants, and patient education.
- Maintain infection-control standards, clean and disinfect dental equipment.
- Administer medications and prescriptions in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Document patient records accurately and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (OHAK/KMPDC).
Required profile
- Diploma in Community Oral Health.
- Valid registration with the Oral Health Association of Kenya or Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Minimum two years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications and strong communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to safety standards.
