About the role
We are seeking a Credit Analyst to join our international car finance team in Nairobi. You will evaluate applicants' financial health, assess risk, and support sound lending decisions while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse financial statements, credit reports and related data to assess applicant viability.
- Identify potential lending risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Assign credit ratings based on analysis and risk assessment.
- Recommend approval, modification or rejection of credit applications.
- Set appropriate credit limits and terms for borrowers.
- Ensure all documentation complies with legal, regulatory and internal standards.
- Follow internal credit policies, fair lending practices and AML guidelines.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
- At least 24 months of experience as a Credit Analyst, Loan Officer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of credit assessment techniques, financial statement analysis and risk evaluation.
- Familiarity with credit reporting agencies, financial regulations and lending policies.
