Director of Revenue

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Revenue to lead our Commercial Strategy team, drive revenue growth across all hotel segments, and support the brand’s positioning. This senior role is based in Nairobi and works closely with profit‑generation departments to maximize profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Leads strategic planning and collaborates with profit‑generation teams to drive incremental profit for rooms, restaurants, spas and other revenue streams.
• Creates short‑ and long‑term forecasts, sets pricing and yielding tactics, and manages inventory allocation across all booking channels.
• Oversees channel distribution strategies, evaluates new business opportunities and ensures optimal rate structures.
• Partners with Marketing to execute and measure digital campaigns, and manages OTA/CTO performance reviews.
• Acts as system owner for RMS, CRS, rate‑shopping and TravelCLICK platforms, maintaining data quality and system hygiene.
• Leads, coaches and mentors the revenue management team, fostering a revenue‑focused culture.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Hotel Management, Accounting, Finance or Mathematics (preferred).
• Minimum five years of experience in luxury hotel sales/revenue management with a proven record of exceeding targets.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, lead a team and travel as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Ideas G3 Revenue Management System (RMS).
• Experience using Opera PMS, Passkey and Delphi or Opera Sales.
• Knowledge of CRS platforms (ORS, TARS) and rate‑shopping tools.
• Familiarity with TravelCLICK and other hotel‑specific distribution platforms.
