EHS/ESG Intern – Health & Safety & Sustainability

About the role

Join a leading food manufacturing company as an EHS/ESG Intern within their Graduate Trainee Programme. You will support occupational health and safety, environmental management, sustainability projects and ESG reporting across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine workplace inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Assist with incident investigations, maintain records of accidents, near‑misses and corrective actions.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and evacuation exercises.
• Monitor use and maintenance of PPE, first‑aid kits and fire‑fighting equipment.
• Participate in internal and external EHS audits and inspections.
• Help deliver safety training, inductions, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
• Support ESG risk assessments, waste‑management, recycling, energy‑efficiency and resource‑conservation initiatives.
• Assist with CSR and community‑engagement activities and ESG performance monitoring.
• Track renewal of permits, licenses and statutory compliance documents (e.g., NEMA, DOSH).
• Maintain departmental records, reports and the annual EHS training calendar.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or final‑year student with a strong interest in health, safety and sustainability.
• Environmentally conscious, detail‑oriented and able to work collaboratively.
• Willingness to learn and support multiple EHS/ESG functions.
