About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic English Literature Teacher to join Oshwal Academy, a private international school delivering the British Curriculum from preschool through Year 13. The successful candidate will inspire students in Westlands, Nairobi, fostering a love for literature and critical thinking.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English literature lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum.
- Prepare students for examinations, conduct assessments, and grade assignments.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in curriculum development, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
Required profile
- Graduate degree in English Literature or Education (B.Ed.)
- Minimum four years of teaching experience in English literature.
- Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in Kenya.
- Experience with the British curriculum is an advantage.
Required skills
- Effective teaching and lesson planning.
- Exam preparation and grading.
- Classroom management and authority.
- Educational testing.
