Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

About the role

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture is seeking a Nigerian national to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions across its headquarters and satellite locations. This 2‑year renewable contract role will drive data‑driven decision‑making and ensure financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely, accurate monthly management and financial reports with analysis, commentary, and recommendations.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve automated financial dashboards and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Agresso).
• Develop financial models, forecasts, scenario analyses, and performance reports to support strategic decisions.
• Establish and monitor key financial and operational KPIs, conduct variance and trend analysis.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Coordinate preparation, consolidation, review, and analysis of departmental and project budgets.
• Implement and enhance the Institute’s Full Cost Recovery framework, including costing methodologies and allocation drivers.
• Support senior management with high‑quality analytical reporting and presentations.

Required profile

• Nigerian national with proven ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.
• Experience in developing financial models and dashboards for decision support.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify risks, opportunities, and efficiency improvements.
