About the role

A leading international academy in Nairobi is seeking a passionate French Teacher to deliver the Cambridge Curriculum to secondary‑level learners. You will plan, teach and assess French lessons, inspiring students to develop strong communication skills and an appreciation for French language and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality French lessons aligned with the Cambridge Curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, interactive classroom environment.
• Assess, monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback.
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments and progress reports.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Promote speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in French.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into instruction.
• Maintain effective classroom management and uphold school policies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress.
• Participate in school meetings, extracurricular activities and professional development programmes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education with a French specialization.
• Minimum of 6 years teaching experience in a Cambridge Curriculum school.
• Demonstrated experience delivering French lessons within the Cambridge Curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of the Cambridge Curriculum and ability to differentiate instruction.
