About the role
The United Nations Environment Programme is seeking a Legal Consultant to provide high-quality legal and procedural advisory services that support the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) and strengthen UNEP’s governance and decision-making processes.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver legal and procedural advice to the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) on plastic pollution matters.
- Strengthen UNEP’s governance and decision-making through rigorous legal analysis.
- Facilitate the development, negotiation and adoption of an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution.
- Provide strategic legal advice and expert support to intergovernmental bodies and treaty negotiation processes.
Required profile
- A qualified legal professional capable of delivering advisory services to intergovernmental bodies.
