Light Commercial Truck Driver (Class C1) – Nairobi

About the role

Our client, a Nairobi‑based company, is looking for a reliable Light Commercial Truck Driver (Class C1) to transport equipment, materials and supplies safely and on schedule. The role also includes general logistical support to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Deliver equipment, materials and supplies to designated locations on time.
• Assist with loading, securing and off‑loading goods, ensuring safe handling.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, report faults and arrange maintenance.
• Maintain clean and road‑worthy vehicle condition and keep basic delivery records.
• Report accidents, breakdowns or delays promptly.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant commercial or delivery driving experience.
• Valid Class C1 driving licence with a clean record.
• Good knowledge of Nairobi and surrounding road networks.
• Physically fit to assist with loading and unloading.

Required skills

• Class C1 driving licence.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Defensive driving techniques.
