Medical Officer – Clinical & Diagnostic Center

About the role

The Focus Clinical and Diagnostics Center is seeking a qualified Medical Officer to join its multidisciplinary team. This full‑time position involves direct patient care, emergency interventions, and participation in community health initiatives across Westlands and the wider Kenya region.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake first‑on‑call duties, including patient clerking, investigation, and management.
• Review patients, document clinical recommendations, and conduct outpatient clinics.
• Assist in theatre procedures and perform emergency surgeries or life‑saving interventions when required.
• Collaborate with specialists and other health professionals to ensure high‑quality patient care.
• Carry out medical examinations, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Participate in outreach programs, community health education, and data collection for hospital reporting.
• Assist in the management of medical instruments, equipment, and ensure proper usage.

Required profile

• MBChB degree recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
• Valid registration and practicing license from the Council.
• Minimum two years of post‑internship experience.
• Professional indemnity cover.
• Training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – certificates are an advantage.
