Mental Health Youth Storytelling Consultant (Remote, 5 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a consultant to lead the development, coordination and implementation of a multi‑country youth storytelling and engagement plan. The role supports the promotion of mental health content for young people as part of UNICEF’s partnership with Spotify and a research project with Pinterest.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a youth storytelling and learning generation strategy across several countries.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to produce and disseminate mental‑health‑focused content.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables and travel logistics for field activities.
• Analyse social‑media metrics and other data to refine outreach strategies.
• Facilitate focus groups and interviews with young people on sensitive topics.

Required profile

• University degree in Public Health, Mental Health, International Humanitarian Affairs, Data & Evaluation or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in communications, marketing, writing/editing, project management or social‑behaviour change, preferably in global mental‑health contexts.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
