About the role
Transparency International Kenya is seeking a motivated MERL Intern to support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning (MERL) Coordinator. The role offers hands‑on experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks for anti‑corruption programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in developing results frameworks, monitoring plans and other MERL products.
- Support capacity assessments and strengthen existing M&E systems.
- Monitor programme activities and track performance indicators.
- Collect, analyse and synthesize data to produce quarterly M&E reports.
- Collate project reports, ensure compliance with reporting requirements and facilitate dissemination of findings.
- Help design and deliver MEL capacity‑building workshops and coaching sessions.
- Contribute to programme planning, strategic plan development and alignment with institutional goals.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Statistics, Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Management or a related social‑science discipline.
- Certification in M&E or project management is an advantage.
- At least three years of relevant experience in programming, monitoring, evaluation, research or quality assurance.
- Proven ability to collect, analyse and synthesize data for decision‑making.
- Experience writing reports, preparing reviews and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
