Officer II, Monitoring & Evaluation

About the role

ChildFund is seeking an Officer II, Monitoring & Evaluation to lead M&E activities for a two‑year, grant‑funded project focused on EdTech, child protection, online safety, youth workforce development and child labour prevention. The role is based in Nairobi and reports to the Project Director.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage the project’s monitoring and evaluation system.
• Collaborate with technical teams, government stakeholders and implementing partners to track progress toward outcomes.
• Ensure data quality, conduct analyses and prepare regular donor reports.
• Support the development of indicators, data collection tools and reporting templates.
• Provide technical guidance to field staff on M&E processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, economics, information management or a related field.
• 4–6 years of professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, data management or program performance tracking.
• Current residence and work authorization in Kenya and ability to obtain a U.S. travel visa.
• Willingness to undergo criminal record and safeguarding checks.
