Offshore Health & Hygiene Inspector

About the role

The Offshore Health & Hygiene Inspector is responsible for ensuring that offshore facilities uphold the highest standards of health, hygiene, food safety, sanitation and overall cleanliness. Working on offshore sites, the role involves regular inspections of various living and operational areas to protect workers from illness and contamination.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect kitchens, food storage areas, accommodation units, drinking water points, toilets and waste disposal zones.
• Identify potential health and hygiene risks and document findings accurately.
• Recommend corrective actions and follow‑up to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents and corrective measures.
• Collaborate with site management to implement preventive hygiene programs.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in health, hygiene or food safety inspections, preferably in offshore or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of health, hygiene and sanitation standards applicable to offshore facilities.
• Ability to work independently on offshore sites and adapt to challenging conditions.
• Excellent observational and reporting skills.
