Overseas Investment & Business Development Manager (Logistics)

About the role

The position focuses on promoting the company’s logistics franchise across African markets, building new agency relationships and expanding freight forwarding operations. Based in Nairobi, the role involves both on‑site activities and occasional overseas travel to meet partners and attend industry events.

Key responsibilities

• Promote agency investment and develop channel partners in African countries.
• Identify and engage potential agents through market visits, calls, social platforms and industry networks.
• Explain logistics products, route advantages, freight rates, settlement modes and franchise requirements to prospects.
• Lead negotiations, draft cooperation plans, clarify contracts and secure signed agreements.
• Support agents with account opening, qualification review, system activation and operational training.
• Maintain ongoing relationships, conduct regular visits and resolve issues related to collection, customs clearance, timeliness, after‑sales, reconciliation and settlement.
• Gather market intelligence on pricing, channels, customs policies and customer pain points; report findings to the Chinese operations team.
• Participate in logistics exhibitions, promotion meetings and offline activities to enhance brand visibility.

Required profile

• Kenyan national residing in Nairobi (Westlands area).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for business development.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
