PPSO Specialist

About the role

The PPSO Specialist will provide personal property support for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia, ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and handling of personal property and Unaccompanied Baggage (UB) for military personnel, civilian employees and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment and receipt of personal property and UB in accordance with DoD regulations.
• Assist customers with documentation preparation, submission and processing for relocations and storage.
• Enter and track shipments using data systems, maintaining accurate status updates.
• Schedule transportation and storage services while ensuring compliance with government guidelines.
• Conduct quality inspections of packing, handling and storage operations.
• Work with transportation providers to resolve claims, delays or damages.
• Provide customer service, guidance and issue resolution for personal property matters.
• Handle classified and sensitive information with strict confidentiality.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years experience in personal property shipping, logistics or transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum 1‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain them throughout deployment.
• Fluent written and oral English.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational abilities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data entry systems for shipment management.
• Experience using shipment tracking tools.
