Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager – Kenya Lodge Development

About the role

Join a leading Pan‑African real estate group to lead the quantity surveying and project management of a flagship luxury eco‑lodge development in Kenya. This 2‑year fixed‑term position offers hands‑on responsibility from feasibility through handover, working on‑site across East Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver full quantity surveying functions from project inception to completion.
• Develop cost plans, budgets, procurement strategies and administer contracts.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and suppliers, ensuring schedule, quality and financial targets are met.
• Conduct regular site visits, manage stakeholder relationships and report risks to senior leadership.
• Prepare and present risk‑management reports and financial performance updates.

Required profile

• BSc/BTech in Quantity Surveying; registration or registration‑in‑progress with the South African Council for Quantity Surveyors.
• 8‑15+ years of experience in cost management, procurement, contract administration and project delivery.
• Proven ability to manage projects from feasibility through handover, preferably in hospitality, resorts or luxury residential sectors.
• Willingness to relocate and work on remote sites in Kenya or Tanzania; eligibility for a Kenyan work permit.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, JBCC, NEC or similar contract frameworks.
