Radiographer – Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

About the role

South B Hospital is seeking a qualified Radiographer to join its Radiology team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will perform X‑ray, ultrasound and ECG examinations, delivering high‑quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform X‑ray, ultrasound and ECG examinations according to established protocols.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures clearly, and maintain patient privacy.
• Produce accurate diagnostic images and ensure proper documentation.
• Operate, clean and maintain imaging and diagnostic equipment.
• Observe infection‑prevention, radiation‑safety and hospital safety standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging, Sonography or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant regulatory body.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate diagnostic images.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy hospital environment and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
