Radiographer – X‑ray & Ultrasound Technician

About the role

Galaxy Hospital is seeking an experienced Radiographer to perform X‑ray and ultrasound examinations for patients in the Westlands region. The successful candidate will ensure high‑quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialised X‑ray and ultrasound examinations as ordered by clinicians.
• Obtain accurate patient histories and explain procedures to ensure cooperation.
• Position patients correctly and select appropriate imaging protocols.
• Produce diagnostic images of sufficient quality for radiologist interpretation.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot radiology and ultrasound equipment.
• Apply radiation protection measures and adhere to infection control standards.
• Maintain accurate imaging registers, examination records and departmental statistics.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years (48 months) experience in radiography.
• Senior‑level qualification in medical imaging or related field.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and infection control.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
