About the role
Equity Afya is seeking a Resident Medical Officer / Clinic Lead to oversee clinical operations at its Nairobi facility. The role combines direct patient care with leadership of the medical team, ensuring high‑quality services and compliance with Kenyan health regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Medicine or Surgery (MBChB or MBBS) from a recognized university.
- Registered with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Minimum one year post‑internship experience in a public or private hospital.
- Certificates in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, reporting procedures and Kenyan health laws.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
Required skills
- Clinical decision‑making and patient management.
- Leadership of medical staff and oversight of clinic operations.
- Project management and report writing.
- Financial awareness including budgeting and basic accounting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
