Sales & Distribution Agent – FMCG (Entry Level)

About the role

We are looking for motivated Sales & Distribution Agents to promote our FMCG portfolio in the Westlands area of Nairobi. The role is field‑based, requiring you to identify new business opportunities, build strong retailer relationships and meet defined sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers, retailers, dealers and distributors.
• Promote and sell company products within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Follow up on leads, orders, payments and customer enquiries.
• Expand the distribution network and increase market presence.
• Conduct market visits and monitor competitor activities.
• Provide regular sales and market reports.
• Ensure products are adequately represented and available within the territory.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in sales, distribution, field sales or business development.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Confident, energetic and highly target‑oriented.
• Ability to identify and convert sales opportunities.
• Good understanding of the local market and customer needs.
• Existing relationships with retailers, dealers or distributors are an advantage.
• Willingness to work in the field and travel within the assigned territory.
• Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
