About the role

The Sales Team Leader will head the Credit/Field Officers at the MWEA branch, driving loan disbursement targets and ensuring a robust pipeline across all micro‑finance products. This senior‑level position requires strong leadership, disciplined execution, and a focus on portfolio quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Credit/Field Officers.
• Achieve monthly disbursement targets of KES 5 M+ per branch.
• Generate and maintain a strong pipeline for all loan products.
• Oversee credit appraisal, vetting, and approval quality.
• Manage portfolio performance and keep PAR (Portfolio at Risk) levels low.
• Conduct field coaching, client visits, and support deal closures.
• Track daily sales activity, conversions, and collections.
• Enforce discipline, set targets, and ensure team accountability.
• Prepare accurate daily and weekly performance reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in micro‑finance, credit, or field sales.
• Proven experience leading a sales or credit team.
• Strong understanding of lending products and risk analysis.
• Aggressive target‑mindset with a track record of meeting goals.
• Excellent leadership, discipline, and accountability skills.
• Experience in logbook or asset financing is an advantage.
• Minimum age of 29 years, reflecting seniority expectations.
