Security Officer

About the role

We are looking for a professional Security Officer to join the team at MGallery Nairobi Gigiri, a boutique hotel serving UN delegates, diplomats, and leisure guests. The role ensures the safety and security of guests, staff, and property while delivering courteous and efficient service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a safe, courteous, and professional security service in line with hotel standards.
• Manage key distribution, maintain the General Security Log, and report any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records for lost and found items, visitor passes, and control centre documents.
• Inspect, service, and operate security equipment according to manuals.
• Oversee hotel vehicle maintenance, log books, key distribution, and daily mileage tracking.
• Monitor scheduled events, VIP arrivals, and special functions, adjusting security arrangements as needed.
• Respond to guest complaints, escalating when necessary, and ensure follow‑up.
• Identify and report potential security risks related to community crime trends, political activities, or seasonal events.
• Control access to incident scenes, preserve evidence, and coordinate with authorities.
• Assist with guest room safe interventions and maintain related logs.
• Participate fully in the fire safety protection program.
