Senior Agile Scrum Master – International Health

About the role

Cigna Healthcare is expanding its global Agile transformation and seeks a Senior Agile Scrum Master to coach high‑performing teams within its International Health business. The role focuses on maximizing value delivery through collaboration, impediment removal, and continuous improvement across geographically distributed teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coach Agile teams on Scrum, Kanban and SAFe practices, fostering self‑organization and psychological safety.
• Facilitate team ceremonies such as planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives and ART‑level events (PI Planning, System Demo, Inspect & Adapt).
• Identify, track and remove impediments, manage dependencies and ensure transparent communication with Product Owners, RTEs and stakeholders.
• Maintain and report metrics on flow, predictability, quality and value delivery to drive evidence‑based improvement.
• Support sustainable delivery cadence, help teams set realistic commitments based on capacity and risk.

Required profile

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, SAFe Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Team Coach in a scaled Agile environment.
• Strong communication, facilitation, coaching and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Experience working with cross‑functional, geographically distributed teams.
