Senior Consultant – Climate and Sustainable Finance

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead climate and sustainable finance advisory across Kenya and the wider East Market Area. You will work with governments, development partners, financial institutions and private sector actors to design, implement and monitor finance programmes that support climate mitigation, adaptation and broader sustainable development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and strengthen climate and sustainable finance strategies, financing frameworks and green investment approaches.
• Develop financing roadmaps for mitigation, adaptation, resilience and other sustainable development priorities.
• Advise on financing mechanisms, institutional arrangements, governance models and accountability structures.
• Align financing strategies with national climate commitments, donor objectives and investor expectations.
• Support clients from concept development through financing alignment, implementation, monitoring and impact reporting.

Required profile

• Strong background in climate finance, sustainable finance, development finance, investment analysis or project preparation.
• Experience working across policy, programme and transaction‑related assignments.
• Ability to engage with governments, NGOs, multilateral institutions and private sector stakeholders.
