Senior Consultant – Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

About the role

PwC is looking for a Senior Consultant to lead Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) advisory engagements across Kenya and the wider East Market Area. You will help clients design, implement and improve MEL systems that drive evidence‑based decision‑making and sustainable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design and strengthen MEL strategies, frameworks, policies, guidelines, systems and tools for client organisations.
• Develop and refine results frameworks, indicators and reporting processes.
• Lead baseline, mid‑line, end‑line, process, performance and impact evaluations, including independent verification assignments.
• Ensure data quality, conduct data analytics and apply digital tools to enhance programme learning and reporting.
• Synthesize evidence, harvest knowledge and facilitate learning processes to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Engage with diverse stakeholders across government, development partners, NGOs and the private sector.
• Contribute to the growth of PwC’s MEL advisory portfolio through thought leadership and business development.

Required profile

• Strong technical grounding in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning and data analytics.
• Proven experience working on complex development programmes in East Africa.
• Ability to translate evidence into practical insights for clients and stakeholders.
• Comfortable managing multiple assignments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
