Senior Lecturer, Health Management/Informatics/Health Economics

About the role

The University seeks a senior academic to lead teaching and research in Health Management, Health Informatics and Health Economics. The role involves delivering high‑quality instruction to undergraduate and postgraduate public health students and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars and skills‑based sessions in Public Health.
• Design, develop, review and implement curricula and syllabi.
• Develop, moderate and administer examinations and provide academic advising.
• Participate in departmental, faculty and university committees and quality‑assurance activities.
• Mentor junior academic staff and supervise Master’s and PhD candidates.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and secure research grants.
• Support student recruitment, orientation and onboarding at the department level.

Required profile

• PhD in Public Health (Health Management, Health Informatics or Health Economics) or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of university teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Proven experience in curriculum design, postgraduate supervision and research supervision.
• Registered with relevant professional body where applicable.
