About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Research Officer to support its Sudan country team from Nairobi. The role focuses on cash and market research to inform emergency response and resource allocation in the evolving Sudan crisis.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead all cash‑and‑markets workstreams for the Sudan programme.
  • Produce high‑quality data analyses and reports to guide humanitarian priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Research Manager of the Inter‑Cluster Unit and other thematic specialists.
  • Coordinate with field partners to ensure data collection aligns with IMPACT’s standards.

Required profile

  • Minimum three years of experience in research, cash‑and‑markets, or related humanitarian work.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Sudan context and humanitarian response dynamics.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast‑changing environment.
