Senior Tax Advisor – International Tax & Transaction Services

About the role

EY Kenya’s International Tax and Transaction Services practice is seeking a Senior Tax Advisor to support cross‑border and M&A advisory for a diverse client base. The role involves delivering high‑quality tax advice, assisting with regulatory policy, and collaborating with a team of experts to address complex transaction challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advisory services on international transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and cross‑border investments.
• Support clients in navigating regulatory requirements and policy developments.
• Collaborate with practice colleagues to develop innovative, solution‑focused tax strategies.
• Prepare and review tax documentation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Stay abreast of economic and business environment trends to inform client advice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance or Law with at least upper second‑class honours.
• Minimum B grade in KCSE and in English & Mathematics.
• At least four years of experience in business advisory, preferably within a legal or professional services firm, focusing on M&A and cross‑border investment advisory.
• Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
• Self‑driven, proactive and committed to delivering high‑quality work.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of international tax principles and transaction structures.
• Ability to perform economic and financial analysis.
