Senior Travel & Visa Coordinator (Church)

About the role

This senior position coordinates travel and visa arrangements for church employees, missionaries, and senior representatives worldwide. The role ensures smooth, cost‑effective travel experiences while complying with church policies and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and book travel itineraries using the most cost‑efficient options, including air, rail, rental cars, and hotels.
• Prepare detailed itineraries and ensure all required visas and documentation are accurate.
• Follow accounting guidelines for invoicing, payments, and billing; prepare check requisitions.
• Maintain vendor relationships and correspond regularly with consulates.
• Assist in training and coaching junior travel coordinators.
• Support special events such as mission president seminars and area council meetings.
• Handle complex travel issues and after‑hours support as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least three years of travel‑industry experience (or equivalent).
• Three or more years of experience in church travel services preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to train, motivate, and lead team members.
• Strong efficiency, process‑improvement mindset, and willingness to handle a large workload.
