Shipping In-Charge – FMCG/Beverages/Dairy

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Shipping In‑Charge to lead day‑to‑day shipping, warehouse dispatch, route operations and stock management for our FMCG, beverage and dairy portfolio. The role involves supervising a large team, ensuring accurate documentation and meeting key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping, dispatch and warehouse activities to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries.
• Plan, allocate and reconcile sales routes, van sales and driver schedules.
• Supervise and coordinate a team of 30–40 staff including salesmen, drivers and warehouse personnel.
• Execute manpower planning, shift allocation and productivity monitoring.
• Manage stock processes: FIFO implementation, physical stock verification, inward/outward movements and inventory accuracy.
• Handle receiving, dispatch documentation, GRNs and MIS reporting.
• Process returns, perform reconciliation and ensure proper segregation of returned goods.
• Monitor transport operations, POD management and cold‑chain requirements.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in FMCG, dairy or beverage distribution.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team of 30–40 members.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management, stock control and route sales.
• Ability to work across all shifts and under operational pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP for inventory, warehouse and reporting functions.
• Knowledge of FIFO, stock counting and physical inventory processes.
• Experience with transport management, POD handling and cold‑chain logistics.
• Competence in preparing daily, weekly and monthly MIS and operational reports.
