Technical Sales Executive – Theatre (Operating Theatre / Surgical Solutions)

About the role

The Technical Sales Executive – Theatre will drive revenue growth for a portfolio of operating theatre and surgical solutions. You will combine deep product knowledge with consultative selling to help hospitals modernise their surgical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned revenue, margin and volume targets for surgical lights, operating tables, electrosurgical units, anaesthesia delivery systems and integration technologies.
• Map and prioritise key stakeholders – theatre managers, surgeons, anaesthetists and biomedical engineers – across major hospitals.
• Conduct clinical and technical needs assessments and design complete or modular theatre solutions.
• Organise product demonstrations, dry‑run evaluations and clinical workshops in operating theatre settings.
• Prepare technical‑commercial proposals covering equipment, consumables, training, warranty and service contracts.
• Lead tender responses, pre‑bid meetings and commercial negotiations for public, private and faith‑based institutions.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with key opinion leaders and procurement decision‑makers.
• Support project handover, commissioning and post‑installation user training.
• Gather competitive intelligence on technology trends and pricing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical sales of medical or surgical equipment.
• Strong understanding of operating theatre workflows and clinical requirements.
• Excellent communication and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to manage complex sales cycles and multi‑stakeholder projects.

Required skills

• Technical product knowledge of surgical lights, operating tables, electrosurgical units and anaesthesia delivery systems.
• Experience delivering product demonstrations and clinical workshops.
• Proficiency in preparing technical‑commercial proposals and tender documentation.
