Trade Specialist – Corporate Banking

About the role

The Trade Specialist will manage and deliver end‑to‑end trade finance solutions for a portfolio of local, Pan‑African and multinational corporate clients. The role focuses on designing bespoke risk‑management and working‑capital financing structures that drive revenue growth and reinforce the bank’s brand as the go‑to provider of trade finance in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement trade finance solutions across key sectors for Corporate Investment Bank clients.
• Structure on‑ and off‑balance‑sheet trade transactions, including structured trade and supply‑chain finance.
• Lead client engagements to understand unique financing needs and propose optimal risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Achieve revenue targets and promote the CIB brand in the Kenyan market.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience in corporate banking with a focus on trade finance sales or transaction execution.
• Proven experience in deal structuring, credit risk assessment and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of multi‑sectoral economies and local market dynamics.
