Investment Officer – Dadaab

About the role

Inkomoko is seeking an Investment Officer to work on‑site in Dadaab, Kenya. The role supports entrepreneurs by managing loan‑type investments, conducting due diligence, and ensuring effective portfolio and system administration.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to borrower inquiries, guide them through application, and prepare investment contracts and disbursements.
• Conduct due‑diligence visits, collect personal and business data, and prepare credit reports for the Investment Committee.
• Maintain borrower relationships, monitor repayments, and keep delinquency rates within targets.
• Update and manage the Investment Management System (Mifos/CBS), handle user security, and generate related reports.
• Collaborate with finance, business development, and external partners to ensure compliance with Kiva reporting requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Swahili; additional local language a plus.
• 4+ years of experience in investment management, micro‑finance, or related lending environments.
• Proven ability to handle difficult client conversations and enforce repayment.
• Legal right to work in Kenya.

Required skills

• Proficiency with investment management software (Mifos, CBS).
• Strong financial analysis and accounting capabilities.
• Experience using investment management system applications.
