Trade Specialist – Corporate Trade Finance

About the role

The Trade Specialist will manage and deliver comprehensive Trade Finance solutions for a diverse portfolio of local, pan‑African and multinational clients within the Corporate Investment Bank. Based in Kenya, the role leads the development of tailored financing structures that address clients' risk management and working‑capital needs while driving revenue and reinforcing the bank’s reputation as the go‑to provider of Trade Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of Trade Finance solutions for a portfolio of corporate clients across key sectors.
• Lead the design and implementation of client‑specific financing structures in Kenya.
• Achieve revenue targets by cross‑selling and expanding Trade Finance products.
• Promote the CIB brand as the preferred Trade Finance partner in the market.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of banking experience, with at least 10 years in Corporate Banking and a strong focus on Trade Finance.
• Proven experience in trade‑related lending structures, including structured trade and supply‑chain finance.
• Broad knowledge of key sectors of the national economy.
