Treasury Accountant – Urgent (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Treasury Accountant to join a busy manufacturing company in Nairobi. The role involves managing cash, foreign exchange exposure, and debt facilities while supporting month‑end processes and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Cash management and reporting on debt facilities.
• Interest rate risk management and development of mitigation strategies, including foreign exchange risk.
• Management and reporting of the organization’s foreign currency exposure.
• Processing foreign currency payments.
• Forecasting medium‑ and long‑term funding and hedging requirements.
• Supporting end‑month closing activities.
• Preparing bank reconciliations and conducting petty‑cash verification.
• Preparing weekly cash position and investing surplus funds.
• Preparing monthly excise returns.
• Providing audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Preparing monthly cash‑flow projections and analysing cash utilisation by the 5th of each month.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Fully qualified CPA.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Treasury Accountant in a trading or manufacturing environment.
