Vehicle Condition Inspector

About the role

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Vehicle Condition Inspector to join its growing team. You will be the face of the company, providing accurate vehicle assessments and clear communication to clients and dealers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off‑lease locations to identify damage, missing parts, and mechanical issues.
• Prepare detailed condition reports, including repair or replacement cost estimates and photographic documentation.
• Upload photos and reports to the company’s image server using a company‑issued smartphone.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles on the ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchasing.
• Assist the sales team with up‑selling and cross‑selling services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and independent buyers.
• Travel to various sites and perform manual labor such as lifting, standing, and bending as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the automobile field (body, paint, or mechanical repair) with a customer‑service focus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered, insured vehicle.
• Excellent English communication skills (read, write, speak).
