Wealth Management Specialist

About the role

The Wealth Management Specialist will partner with Universal Relationship Managers across the branch network to deliver sophisticated wealth solutions for high‑net‑worth clients in East Africa. The role combines deep technical expertise with relationship‑building to drive business growth and enhance the capabilities of the broader sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to originate new high‑net‑worth clients independently.
• Provide comprehensive advisory services, including portfolio management, tax optimisation, succession planning and philanthropic structuring.
• Collaborate with Universal RMs to identify wealth opportunities within their existing client base.
• Design and deliver training programmes that build private‑wealth expertise among Universal RMs.
• Work with product teams to ensure offerings are competitive, innovative and tailored to Sub‑Saharan market needs.
• Ensure all client engagements comply with EIB’s regulatory and compliance standards.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in wealth management, private banking or financial advisory, preferably with regional or international exposure.
• Proven track record of originating and managing relationships with HNWIs and UHNWIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field; Master’s/MBA or professional certifications (CFA, CIFA, CISI) preferred.
