About the role
Join Save the Children Kenya as a Finance Intern and support the finance team in day‑to‑day accounting and treasury activities. This role offers hands‑on experience in a humanitarian organization with operations across multiple regions of Kenya.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with invoice reconciliation on the ProSave platform, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
- Prepare and authorise Mpesa payment vouchers and process manual payments.
- Support filing, archiving and digital backup of finance documents.
- Maintain General Ledger and Cash Offline Spreadsheets (GLACOS) with correct charge codes.
- Participate in monthly bank reconciliation and payroll statutory deduction processing.
- Perform weekly single‑account and balance‑sheet reconciliations and prepare schedules for review.
- Prepare adjustment and reallocation journal entries.
- Assist with audit requirements and ensure compliance with Save the Children policies.
