Finance Intern – Accounts Payable Support

About the role

StratoStaff is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join its Finance & Strategy department in Nairobi. The role focuses on supporting the Accounts Payable function, providing hands‑on experience in payment processing, supplier documentation, and financial record‑keeping within a consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and organize supplier invoices, matching them with purchase orders and goods received notes.
• Capture invoices into the accounting system, monitor approval status and prepare payment schedules.
• Assist in reconciling supplier statements and maintaining accurate supplier master records.
• Maintain both physical and electronic filing systems for finance documents, ensuring completeness of payment vouchers.
• Support month‑end activities, prepare account reconciliations and assist with internal and external audit documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• CPA Part I completed; CPA Part II is an advantage.
• High level of accuracy, strong organizational abilities and integrity handling confidential information.
