About the role
The United Nations Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary‑General on the Great Lakes Region is offering a 3‑6 month internship in Nairobi. The intern will support the Political Affairs Unit by preparing documents, conducting research, and assisting with meetings and events.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare documents for review, including correspondence, talking points and background notes.
- Conduct research on topics of interest to the Political Affairs Unit using public sources.
- Attend meetings, conferences and seminars and produce summary notes.
- Provide logistical assistance for conferences, meetings, seminars and workshops.
Required profile
- Enrolled in or have completed a graduate programme, or be in the final year of a bachelor’s degree in a field related to governance or political science.
- Fluency in written and spoken English; working‑level knowledge of French.
