About the role
Legal Action Worldwide is seeking a Programme Coordinator to support its South Sudan, Sudan and Somalia programmes from its Nairobi office. The role will provide comprehensive assistance to the Programme Manager, ensuring gender‑sensitive and trauma‑informed implementation of advocacy, capacity‑building and evidence‑based interventions across the three countries.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Programme Manager in planning, monitoring and reporting on programme activities in South Sudan, Sudan and Somalia.
- Coordinate capacity‑building initiatives, including training sessions for partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure all interventions adopt a gender‑sensitive and trauma‑informed approach.
- Engage with national, humanitarian and other relevant stakeholders to advance programme goals.
- Travel to project sites in the three countries to oversee implementation and provide field support.
- Prepare advocacy materials and represent the programme to diverse audiences.
Required profile
- Legal right to work in Kenya.
- Availability for a full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
