Director, NDI Gateway LLC – Kenya

About the role

The University of Notre Dame seeks a senior executive to lead NDI Gateway LLC in Kenya. As the regional director, you will steer academic, research and institutional initiatives across Kenya and the wider African continent, aligning them with Notre Dame’s global mission.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all academic and research programs in the region.
• Oversee day‑to‑day legal, financial and operational compliance of NDI Gateway LLC.
• Coordinate faculty engagement, collaborative research, and student experiences to ensure high impact.
• Facilitate cross‑departmental communication and partnership building with public, private and higher‑education stakeholders.
• Represent the region on the Notre Dame Global senior leadership team, contributing to strategic decision‑making.
• Prepare and deliver executive reports on regional performance and alignment with institutional priorities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in higher education, research administration or a comparable nonprofit environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and financial oversight for international entities.
• Demonstrated ability to build high‑impact partnerships across sectors.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
