Field Technician – Asset Management & Maintenance

About the role

The Field Technician will ensure that all company assets arriving at the Busia branch are inspected, recorded, stored securely, and made ready for disbursement. You will work closely with the Branch Executive, Procurement Officer, and General Manager to maintain accurate inventory and asset traceability.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and assess delivered assets for mechanical condition; sign delivery notes and report any damage.
• Capture and record assets and accessories in the ERP system immediately after off‑loading.
• Brand, store, and organise assets securely to enable quick access for disbursement.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of assets in both CRM and ERP, ensuring they are visible on the Tugende dashboard.
• Manage inventory registers, reconcile physical stock with system data, and generate daily reconciliation reports.
• Uninstall and reinstall GPS tracker units, track inventory levels, and provide snapshot reports as needed.
• Handle document management, including scanning and filing delivery notes and picking lists.
• Support branch sales targets by ensuring assets are active, traceable, and in good working condition.

Required profile

• At least one (1) year of experience as a mechanic or electrician with a reputable organisation.
• Demonstrated experience with motorcycle and car assembly and repairs.
• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile Engineering or Motor Vehicle Mechanics from a recognised institution.
• Valid motorbike riding licence.
