Finance Manager – Tankers Services

About the role

Manage the processes, teams, and resources responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and the delivery of financial management reports, supporting operational effectiveness, client satisfaction, risk reduction, profitability and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement standard operating procedures for end‑to‑end financial processes.
• Manage operational risk and mitigation initiatives, monitoring progress against plans.
• Prepare and analyse financial reporting packs, budgets, forecasts and variance reports.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end functions including AP, AR and cash management.
• Ensure timely statutory returns and compliance with corporate governance policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (NQF Level 7) or CA (SA) qualification.
• Up to 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in tactical leadership or specialist finance roles.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of IFRS and its application.
• Experience with internal controls, risk management and corporate governance.
• Proficiency in management accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Hands‑on experience with AP, AR and cash management processes.
• Ability to prepare ledger reconciliations and detailed financial analysis.
