Payroll Specialist - Healthcare Staffing

About the role

VIZX Global is looking for a Payroll Specialist with U.S. healthcare staffing experience to manage payroll operations for a U.S.-based client. The role will be embedded within the client environment, acting as an extension of their payroll and operations team to ensure accurate, timely payments for healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Process end‑to‑end payroll for nurses, caregivers, allied health professionals and other field‑based staff.
• Validate and approve timesheets, ensuring correct hours, rates, shift differentials and overtime.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, duplicate entries, and rate mismatches before payroll finalization.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, deductions, reimbursements and perform necessary adjustments.
• Conduct payroll reconciliations by reviewing registers, exception and variance reports.
• Escalate unresolved issues promptly with supporting documentation.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll queries from employees, recruiters, staffing coordinators and managers.
• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders and internal teams to ensure compliance with pay rules and reporting expectations.

Required profile

• Highly detail‑oriented, organized and dependable.
• Strong experience handling timesheets, payroll adjustments, reconciliations and employee inquiries in a fast‑paced staffing environment.
• Comfortable working with large volumes of payroll data and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
