Quality Control Officer – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The Quality Control Officer will ensure that all bakery products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Working on the production floor, you will oversee inspections, testing, and documentation to guarantee consistent product excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor every stage of bakery production to verify compliance with established quality standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, work‑in‑progress, and finished goods for appearance, texture, taste, weight, packaging, and shelf life.
• Identify non‑conforming products and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and ISO 22000 standards.
• Perform physical, chemical, and microbiological laboratory tests and maintain accurate testing records.
• Inspect incoming raw materials and verify supplier quality documentation.
• Maintain comprehensive quality records, inspection reports, and corrective‑action logs.
• Investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and recommend preventive actions.
• Train production staff on quality standards, food safety, and hygiene practices.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in quality control within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP and ISO 22000.
