Restaurant Manager – Fast Food (Nairobi)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Restaurant Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations of a fast‑growing fast‑food outlet in Nairobi. The successful candidate will ensure rapid service, consistent food quality, and efficient workflow while supporting the business’s scaling ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all restaurant operations to guarantee fast service and high food standards.
• Manage inventory, including stock control, ordering, and waste reduction.
• Monitor and control costs (food, labour, supplies) to improve profitability.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house staff.
• Coordinate kitchen and service teams to minimise delays and boost speed of service.
• Step in during peak periods and lead the team under pressure.

Required profile

• Kenyan national with a Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in fast‑food or high‑volume restaurant operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in a startup or rapidly growing business is highly valued.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation and accountability.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of inventory management and cost control.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
